Fingerless Gloves

I whipped these up for myself after making soo many for other people....so I thought of myself for once! haha!  They didnt take too long, I absolutly love them!  So here is the pattern and all that!
Abbrevs: slst- slip stitch  ch- chain  sc- single crochet  hdc- half double crochet  dc- double crochet
Note: I worked these by joining each row with a slst and did not turn after each row which can be done as well.  the ch 2 at the beginning of each dc row does not count as a dc!

Pattern!!:
Cuff:  ch 9
Row 1: sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each across (8sc) ch1, turn
Row 2: sc in back loops only from here on out ch1, turn
Row 3-24: repeat row 2
slst ends together then sc around the 'top' of the cuff to make look alittle better! join (24sc)
Main:
Row 1-3: ch 1, sc in each around, join
Row 4: ch 2, dc in each around, join
Row 5-6: ch 1, sc in each around, join
Row 7: ch 2, dc in same st and in each around, 2dc in the last st (26dc)
Row 8-9: ch 1, hdc in each around
Row 10: ch 2, dc in first 5, ch 3, skip 3 sts, dc in next 18 for left hand, dc in first 18, ch 3, skip 3 sts, dc in next 5 for right hand.
Row 11-12: hdc in each around including ch 3 space
Finish off and weave in ends.

There it is! My favorite, comfortable fingerless glove pattern that I made up!  I used some soft, worsted weight yarn and a H hook.  Hope you enjoy the pattern! Until next time, Happy Hooking!!!

  1. These are awesome. I had some leftover yarn and needed a small project to use it up. Now I have adorable gloves and my hands aren't cold when I'm crocheting! I did add an extra row of half-double-crochets to the top though. Now they're perfect

  2. I used the H you recommended (using Vanna yarn) - my friend has smaller hands than I do and it works perfectly.

  4. Thank you for sharing this pattern. I have used it over and over to make gloves for myself. And I altered it down to make gloves for my 5 y/o daughter, too!
