Above is the almost finished-my-hands-hurt-so-I'm-blogging about it washcloth/dishcloth! I used one ball of Lily brand sugar n cream in purple along with a size G-hook. Its quite simple to do all it takes is the materials listed above and some tylenol for the ache in your hands if your hands start to hurt! Haha!
Abbreviations: Slst-slip stitch hdc-half double crochet ch-chain st-stitch
The pattern:
Ch 46
Row 1: Slst in second ch from hook and in the next 4chs. *hdc in the next 5chs, slst in the next 5chs* repeat across (45sts)
*Note: work in the backloops only from here on out*
Row 2: Ch1, turn, slst in the first 5 slsts, *hdc in the 5 hdcs from the previous row, slst in the next 5 slsts from the previous row* repeat across
Row 3&4: Ch2, turn, hdc in the first 5sts, *slst in the next 5 sts, hdc in the next 5 sts* repeat across
Row 5: Ch1, turn, slst in the first 5 hdc, *hdc in the next 5 slsts, slst in the next 5 hdc* repeat across
Repeat rows 2-5 until washcloth measures 10" or your ball of yarn runs out!! End and weave in ends unless you desire an edging. Until next time, Happy Hooking!!!
